Optimize Wiser Browser's memory usage and battery efficiency.
Memory Saver #
Memory Saver frees up memory from tabs you are not currently using, so your active tabs and other applications have more resources available. Inactive tabs are suspended after a configurable period of inactivity and restored instantly when you click on them.
This is particularly useful if you tend to keep many tabs open. Memory Saver can significantly reduce Wiser Browser's overall memory footprint without closing any tabs. The suspended tabs retain their scroll position, form data, and other state.
You can exclude specific sites from Memory Saver if you need them to remain active in the background (for example, music streaming or real-time messaging sites). Configure Memory Saver at Settings > Performance > Memory.
Energy Saver #
Energy Saver reduces Wiser Browser's power consumption when your laptop is running on battery or when battery is low. It does this by limiting background activity, reducing visual effects, and throttling non-essential tasks such as animations and background timers.
When Energy Saver is active, you may notice slightly reduced smoothness in animations and delayed background tab updates. These tradeoffs extend your battery life without affecting the functionality of the page you are actively using.
Energy Saver can be set to activate automatically when on battery power, when battery is below a threshold, or manually. Configure it at Settings > Performance > Power.
