These terms govern your use of Wiser Browser. By using the browser, you agree to these terms. Wiser Browser is free software provided as-is. We respect your rights and ask that you use the browser lawfully.
By downloading, installing, or using Wiser Browser, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the browser. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Wiser Browser is built on the Chromium open-source project and incorporates components under the BSD license and other open-source licenses. Wiser Browser's own additions are provided under an open-source license. You are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, and distribute Wiser Browser in accordance with these licenses.

You own your data. Wiser Browser does not claim any rights to your browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, settings, or any other data stored by the browser. All data remains on your device unless you explicitly choose to use Wiser Sync, in which case it is encrypted end-to-end and stored on the sync server solely for the purpose of synchronization.
You may export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

The browser itself does not enforce these restrictions technically -- they are your responsibility as a user.
Wiser Browser allows installation of third-party extensions from any source. We do not review, endorse, or guarantee the safety of third-party extensions. You install extensions at your own risk and are responsible for any consequences of running third-party code in your browser.
We recommend only installing extensions from developers and sources you trust.
Wiser Browser may automatically download and install updates to provide security patches, bug fixes, and new features. You can disable automatic updates in the browser settings. Running an outdated browser may expose you to known security vulnerabilities.
Wiser Browser is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the browser will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that safe browsing protection will detect all threats.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wiser Browser and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
Wiser Browser includes open-source software components subject to their respective licenses. A complete list of open-source licenses is available at wiser://credits within the browser. Nothing in these Terms restricts your rights under applicable open-source licenses.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Wiser Browser shall be resolved in the courts of the Province of Quebec, Canada.
You may stop using Wiser Browser at any time by uninstalling it. These Terms automatically terminate when you cease all use of the browser. Upon termination, all data remains on your device under your control. If you use Wiser Sync, you may request deletion of server-side data at any time.
