Wiser Browser does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. We do not track your browsing activity, sell your data, or build advertising profiles. This browser operates entirely on your device with no mandatory cloud services.
Wiser Browser does not collect:
The browser periodically checks for updates, sending only your browser version and OS type. No personal information is included. No persistent identifier is assigned to your installation.
URLs are checked against locally-stored threat databases. No URLs or page content are sent to any server for safe browsing purposes.
If you enable Wiser Sync, data is encrypted end-to-end on your device before transmission. The sync server stores only encrypted blobs and a pseudonymous identifier. It cannot access your passwords, bookmarks, history, or recovery phrase. Sync is optional; disabling it deletes server-side data.
Crashes do not trigger automatic reporting. If you manually submit a report, it contains only technical information (version, stack trace, hardware info). Crash reports never contain browsing data or personal information.
Extensions you install have their own privacy policies. Wiser Browser does not monitor or report which extensions you use.
Wiser Browser includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking. Websites you visit have their own data practices; the browser provides tools (cookie blocking, DNT, GPC) to help you control them.
Material changes will be announced through update notes. Any change introducing data collection will require explicit consent.
