Accessibility
Wiser Browser is designed to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability.
Accessibility Labels #
Wiser Browser provides comprehensive accessibility labels throughout the user interface, ensuring that all interactive elements are properly described for screen readers and other assistive technologies. Buttons, menus, form controls, and navigation elements include descriptive ARIA labels.
The browser supports all standard operating system accessibility features, including screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, Orca), high contrast modes, keyboard navigation, and system-level zoom. All browser chrome elements (toolbar, tabs, menus, settings) are fully keyboard-accessible.
Additional accessibility features include:
Keyboard navigation: Every function in Wiser Browser can be accessed via keyboard shortcuts. Press ? or visit Settings > Keyboard shortcuts to see the full list.
Page zoom: Use Ctrl/Cmd + Plus and Ctrl/Cmd + Minus to zoom in and out on any page. A default zoom level can be set in Settings > Appearance.
High contrast: Wiser Browser respects your operating system's high contrast settings. Additionally, you can force high contrast rendering for web content via Settings > Appearance > High contrast mode.
Font customization: You can override website fonts with your preferred font family and minimum font size in Settings > Appearance > Customize fonts.
If you encounter accessibility issues in Wiser Browser, please report them so we can address them promptly. Accessibility is a core requirement, not an afterthought.
